External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met with the foreign ministers of Denmark, UAE, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Singapore on the sidelines of the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
The talks focused on strengthening bilateral relations with each country.

He also met with the UAE’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and said, “I am always happy to meet my dear friend UAE DPM and FM Maktoum bin Mohammed Al Maktoum. There’s a lot to talk about about what’s going on.”
Jaishankar met with Turkmenistan’s foreign minister and deputy prime minister and discussed expanding ties between the two countries. “Heart-warming meeting with Turkmenistan’s DPM and FM Lasit Meredow. Extended greetings on Turkmenistan National Day. We discussed further expanding our friendly relations,” Jaishankar posted on X.

In another post, he wrote, “Very happy to meet Uzbekistan’s FM Bakhtyoğlu Saidov in New York today. Thank you for the progress in our bilateral relations. Please cherish his insights on the region.”
Jaishankar also met his Singaporean counterpart and said, “A chat with Singapore FM Vivian Balakrishnan was a wonderful end to a long day.”
Mr. Jaishankar, who is currently on a visit to the United States, will be joined by the UNGA, which includes FM Kasper Feldkamp of the Netherlands, Timko Mukunski FM of North Macedonia, Foreign Minister Nurtle of Kazakhstan, Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita of Morocco, and Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita of Belgium. He met with several representatives and diplomats. Prime Minister Alexander de Croo, Swiss Federal Member of Parliament Ignazio Cassis, and others.
