Just an hour after its opening on July 17, Dollywood Forced to close The theme park announced that it would be closed for the rest of the day.
“Dollywood Theme Park will be closed today due to a burst water main. Dollywood maintenance teams and City of Pigeon Forge crews are on scene repairing the break,” Dollywood said in a statement. Statement posted on X(formerly known as Twitter).
Dollywood spokesman Wes Ramey confirmed to Knox News that the water main burst occurred after the park’s gates opened in the morning, but declined to provide further details.
“Crews are still assessing the situation at scene and will post full details on our social media and website as they become available,” Ramey said.
Dollywood’s Splash Country waterpark and Dollywood’s resort properties DreamMore Resort and Heartsong Lodge will not be affected, according to the statement.
More details will be provided as they become available.
