Liverpool are increasingly likely to make an offer for Juventus-bound Italian international Federico Chiesa, with the Argentine facing a deadline to find a new club.
Liverpool are increasingly likely to make an offer for Chiesa
According to The Athletic’s David Austin, Liverpool are hoping to complete a deal for Chiesa before the transfer window closes this weekend.
The former Fiorentina winger is out of contract at the end of June and could be available for the low fee of €15 million.
He has been told he will not be part of new manager Thiago Motta’s plans for next season and is currently training alone at Continassa.
Barcelona have recently been linked with interest, with manager Hansi Flick having spoken to the player about a potential move to Camp Nou.
So far, neither Barcelona nor Liverpool have made a formal offer for Chiesa, and Liverpool may have the upper hand in negotiations with Juventus as Barcelona would need to reduce their wage bill before a move could go ahead.
Liverpool are trying to complete the signing of Federico Chiesa before the transfer window closes.
The Italy international is out of contract in 2025 and the transfer fee would be around 15 million euros.#LiverpoolFC
