More drama with your favorite celebrities! Cardi B was recently criticized on X (formerly Twitter) by online influencer Paradise Paris for not taking criticism of her work as an artist. As we all know, Cardi B never misses an opportunity to criticize someone on social media (well, her and Nicki Minaj). She fired back at Paris and this long Twitter war began, with people debating whether Cardi has failed as an artist by not putting out many albums while still being embroiled in drama with her ex-husband’s cheating scandal.
Paris’s thoughts
No one is immune to criticism, be it the average person on the street or Jeff Bezos. But how you express criticism and how you respond to it matters. The situation started when American media personality and announcer Joe Budden predicted that Cardi would not be releasing an album anytime soon. Cardi was furious and said, “I gave you two lap dances at Starlets. You were high as hell. You were high as hell on cocaine, chicken… I don’t care if people talk shit about me. It’s you talking shit about me all the time, Joe Budden. All of a sudden you’re gonna think I did something to this chicken. This chicken has been talking shit about me for the last two years.”
She then compared herself to other female artists, saying, “Every five or six months she compares another female rapper to me. New artists, old artists, she compares everyone to me,” she said. “If you like them so much, why don’t you talk about their albums? Comparing women to me, my worst record beats their best record. I don’t care about any of them.” Joe denied all of Cardi’s claims.

You’d think the drama would calm down after that, right? Nope! The drama starts to heat up when Paris, a woman known for her thorough bad-mouthing of people, tweets the following:
Why is Cardi B not afraid of criticism? While all her contemporaries are releasing albums and doing progressive things in their careers, she stands out. No tours, no meet and greets, no merch. One album, a single and a viral moment. Is she a rapper or just a raconteur?

(Disclaimer: Cardi B’s tweet was deleted by her side less than 24 hours later. You can find it on TikTok and other social media platforms from people who managed to screenshot the tweet before it was deleted.) Cardi responded with, “That’s not what I said…Fuck you and your three tripes, bitch.” After seeing this tweet, Paris got ready to take a 10-foot step back on her business and argue with Cardi. She tweeted the following, attaching a video accusing Cardi of not having a record that can’t even stay on the charts for more than 24 hours: “I’m so jealous of you, I …
Cardi B has had enough
Cardi B responded, “I don’t get plastic surgery for Nia. Because I love the sexy look. I got my ass and soft ass boobs before I met Set (aka Offset). You bitches always asking guys to drag because you can’t drag anything else is not a joke because Nia is in your DMs line… You guys are mad because you said shit about me and your belly is layered like a wedding cake.” She went on to post a photo of someone’s hands grabbing her bare breasts, commenting, “I’m talking about hard ass boobs… That never got hard… Bitch that always gets in your mouth, you shaped like a gummy bear… You bitch shaped like a Flintstones vitamin… You guys love surgery. I’d rather die on an operating table than end up like you.” Paris responded:
They are, mine is natural, you had a long body Mexican shape before [censored] [censored] You’ve had 18 surgeries. Your teeth are stacked like dominoes, your tongue is sloppy like the Mississippi River, and at the end of the day, I’m comfortable with myself and you’re not. So you… https://t.co/7YXO4N2IAe
— Paris (@_ParadiseParis1) July 19, 2024
Cardi responded, “What shape? Baby, ever since high school I’ve been skinny and always been playful. My teeth were stacked like three stomachs. And you wanna talk about your tongue like it’s not heavy,” to which Paris replied, “And you look like a mess but still, gross. You tried to make it look like my opinion.” [was] “I was invalidated because of my looks. Not Nia. You sat there trying to be funny and you were mad because people keep criticizing you for being a failure with a number one album,” Cardi said. “So you have to treat my marriage like a flop because you sound like a failure with a number one album? 🤨 Yeah, an album that hasn’t been topped by any woman in 6 years so fuck you guys! You can’t talk about me [censored] Unless,” Paris responded.
[censored] I want to compare bodies, but I don’t want to compare work. You spend so much time trying to lead the story because you’re intimidated by your peers. We could go all night, we’ve got time. [censored] My tongue is much smoother than yours. https://t.co/7YXO4N2IAe
— Paris (@_ParadiseParis1) July 19, 2024
Cardi B wrote, “I’m telling you baby girl, you don’t need to compare yourself to your peers to get offers like this in 2024 after 7 years with one album. That’s what an insecure bitch* in the game does who doesn’t know who she is. So take care of your feet. You know I hate when you’re sloppy,” along with screenshots of text messages from her about getting the opportunity for concerts and shows, and a photo of Paris’ feet from a previous post just to be safe. Paris wrote:
Cardi, your problem is you always want to prove something and be noticed. Your nails are only $100 and you’re a moron. I know you’re rich and I know your album is #1 but according to every chart and media analyst you still aren’t getting noticed… https://t.co/dBxEYv9atN
— Paris (@_ParadiseParis1) July 19, 2024
Cardi B responded again, writing, “This is coming from some bitch named Paradise Paris and I’ve never been to Paradise or Paris… please. Am I involved because of a potential future album?? Isn’t that what I’m supposed to be involved in? The album that people want me to release that’s actually amazing stuff these bitches are dying to be on. And ‘analysis says’… Billboard? The same Billboard that wrote the article that sales go up with every record I’m on? Because that’s what they said, not what I said. I’m telling you I was restless working at Marshalls like you were. Why bring up my marriage? Not you?” Paris continued.
You are trying your best [censored] I think about ordinary people, trying to relate to ordinary people. By the way, I have a job I’m proud of in corporate America. You were just a poor, lazy person. [censored] I was from the Bronx, had crooked teeth, and had to show my body. [censored] near [censored] Men who steal… https://t.co/V4DpV5C1zp
— Paris (@_ParadiseParis1) July 19, 2024
Cardi lost when she started posting pictures and comparing bodies instead of addressing the issue. She can go to bed now. I could do this all night.
— Paris (@_ParadiseParis1) July 19, 2024
You are really [censored] Idiot! Bringing up where I was doesn’t change the fact that your husband was the main reason I tweeted about you! You are being pressured by your fans, your limited algorithm, and I don’t like the fact that celebrities in the media are bashing you, which is why you… https://t.co/V4DpV5BtJR
— Paris (@_ParadiseParis1) July 19, 2024
Clothes don’t define your character, and neither does money. [censored]I really should have gotten it! I live so comfortably and you better hope the album sells over 150,000 copies because you’re holding off on releasing it while you compare your careers! https://t.co/hTlrb1ISpX
— Paris (@_ParadiseParis1) July 19, 2024
Cardi ultimately ended the debate with this: “Did I lose?? What did I lose?? Tomorrow I wake up in my mansion with a chef made breakfast and my job and my beautiful kids. You wake up to work at Marshalls with 3 pillows under your dress and ready for the highlight of your life. You lost.” Paris has continued to respond to public opinion on the subject with numerous retweets and replies, one notable one read:
Cardi B: Having money doesn’t make her better than me. She’s done. [censored] I would never do such a despicable and cowardly thing. A strip robbery man is hospitalized for assaulting a woman. [censored]no [censored] Money doesn’t erase your morals or your ability to be a whore. A total whore.
— Paris (@_ParadiseParis1) July 19, 2024
What do you think, everyone?
Needless to say, this feud has spread across many tweets in just a day or two. After deleting the tweets, Cardi B explained her actions: “To all my birdies or fans of my music and my craziness…I have good days and bad days but through the good and bad I couldn’t be happier with the obvious anticipation for my album…You all know I don’t like to be told what to do so I get a little aggressive at times but I promise I will release it this year. Thank you for the love and anticipation and always having my back ❤️ I love you all.”
But Paris wrote off Cardi once and for all: “This is a horrible way to be irresponsible. You should have responded to my first tweet like this instead of trying to sell fake drugs and get physical! You’re a dirty bitch with dirty morals. You better pray you can withstand the media backlash on this next album,” she said. She also added, “The rap bitch got upset because she didn’t know what to do. It’s not my fault you can’t ride a f**k and be consistent,” and “Being rich doesn’t make you a winner. A crypto billionaire just committed suicide and Cardi threatened suicide twice. What are we doing?”
The general consensus is that Paris took a nasty swipe at Cardi B and that many are mocking her for it. Tweets include:
She will prove you’re right. She’s talking about an album from 6 years ago that nobody passed but the standards for female rap are literally below ground so what do you expect? Look who the options are. Why isn’t she on tour? Nicki and Meg are both on tour https://t.co/0bxYxzDW4E

Cardi is a mother and you are arguing with strangers, yelling at your fans and posting explicit photos to prove exactly your point, this is why she is failing, her kids are going to grow up and see it. [censored] She needs to make sure she sets a good example for her kids before she falls into a vicious circle online https://t.co/ANeWjct2gi

Sorry, but Paris is right… in some ways actually. I know everyone hates her. [censored] She’s right about Cardi B. pic.twitter.com/gIOJO0s5oB

I’ve never seen her get so depressed by your words. But she’s going to keep using the “I’m rich” strategy even though she’s obviously miserable inside. She’ll delete that tweet too, because she [censored] Crazy😭😂
— Mia♡ (@HT0WNBARB) July 19, 2024
She deleted it all. I think that was the last thing I was going for, targeting people who work 9-5. Not just your body or new talent, but actually promoting the music, but dealing with hard working people who are lining your pockets. I was on her side the whole time, but she lost.
