Is Labor Day a good time to buy a TV?
If you’re thinking about buying a new TV, Labor Day is the perfect time to shop. Multiple retailers are offering discount sales on a variety of models and sizes, giving you a top-notch selection at great prices. And after Labor Day, there aren’t any big holiday shopping events until Black Friday, so you might have to wait a while to catch the next great deals.
How much should you spend on a TV?
There’s no right or wrong answer to this question. The main things to consider when buying a TV are your needs and your budget. There are plenty of budget TVs out there, but some of those models don’t have all the features that more expensive models have. Plus, if you want an OLED display, it will cost significantly more than LED or other models.
Size will also affect your budget, but for a standard entertainment area like a living room, you should buy a TV that is at least 55 inches. In most cases, however, 65 inches or larger is best. For a bedroom, you should opt for a model that is at least 43 inches.
If you’re going to splurge, a bigger screen is probably your best bet – and the most cost-effective – but if you want more information before you buy, check out our TV buying guide.
What are the best Labor Day sales to shop?
Labor Day offers big discounts on big-ticket items like mattresses and TVs, but it also has a ton of end-of-season sales on grills, yard tools, patio furniture, gardening supplies, summer clothing, and technology products like laptops, tablets, and headphones.
