The UK has recorded its highest daily Covid-19 deaths since May. In the last 24 hours, there have been 22,885 new cases diagnosed, with 367 new deaths recorded. This gives a total number of deaths so far from Covid of 45,362. Boris Johnson is also under renewed pressure over his handling of the Covid-19 response from a group of more than 50 of his own backbench MPs.
