Dave’s Picks
Central Indiana is in the midst of a vibrant arts and entertainment season, and the 125+ events selected for this guide really capture that excitement. Of course, it’s important to remember that the events I’ve selected are just a starting point for what your organization might have planned.
There’s plenty more for audiences to explore, but it’s good to know that these carefully selected venues include a whopping 60. New Harmony Project and eight specialty theaters are working on a new event, PlayFest Indy, which we’ll introduce here.
Follow this link to learn about the unconventional sneaker exhibit at Newfields, and here’s where Ronan Mara talks about his new role as Executive Director of Storytelling Arts of Indiana.
The cover of the guide shines the spotlight on four people traveling to the area for entertainment, including Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra’s new music director June Merkl, pioneering stand-up comedian Sarah Silverman and Broadway superstar Leslie Odom Jr.
That leaves the fourth member of the quartet, Taylor Swift, who is set to set a new record for the longest consecutive concert run at Lucas Oil Stadium. Swift’s three-night set will run from November 1-3.
