Surprisingly, Apple has made it easier to transfer playlists from Apple Music to YouTube Music, marking the first time the Cupertino company has offered such a tool for Apple Music users.
If you are an Apple Music subscriber, this tool makes it easy to transfer your playlists to YouTube Music.
Spotify is not supported at this time
Third-party unofficial tools and services allow you to transfer your favorite playlists to and from Apple Music. However, many of them have daily limits and require payment to transfer multiple playlists. Apple’s official Apple Music playlist transfer tool makes it easy to move to YouTube Music, and the service is free to use.
Currently, the tool does not support other music streaming services, including Spotify, Apple’s strongest critic, and it is unclear whether Apple will add support for other streaming services.
You can only transfer playlists, not your entire music library. This tool also does not transfer music files, non-collaborative shared playlists, or curated playlists. When you migrate a playlist, you will only see songs available on YouTube Music. Other audio files in the playlist, such as podcasts or audiobooks, will not be transferred.

Using the official Apple Music to YouTube Music playlist tool is easy. Visit Apple’s Data & Privacy page and sign in to your Apple ID account. Then, select the “Transfer a copy of your data” option and follow the on-screen instructions. You’ll also need to be logged in to your Google account during the transfer.
When you use the transfer tool, Apple will send you an email to the address linked to your Apple account, and you’ll also receive an email after the transfer is complete.
If you update or create new playlists on Apple Music, you’ll need to transfer them to YouTube Music again.
