An update has emerged regarding former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley’s departure from WWE and interest from other promotions.
Following reports that Lashley’s contract was set to expire in August, both Lashley and MVP were removed from WWE’s roster, seemingly confirming that the pair have left the company.
Fightful Select has confirmed that Bobby Lashley’s contract with WWE has officially ended, with Lashley leaving the company.
According to the report, sources within the WWE said an appearance is a possibility eventually.
A number of promotions in the U.S. and abroad, including those in the combat sports world, have expressed interest in partnering with Lashley.
Lashley boasts a 15-2 professional record and most recently defeated Josh Apert by second-round submission at Bellator 162 in 2016.
Sources close to Lashley have reportedly suggested he will continue wrestling after leaving WWE.
Lashley last competed at a WWE house show in France on May 5, where he defeated Santos Escobar in a singles match.
His last appearance on WWE TV was on the April 12 episode of SmackDown, when he faced LA Knight and Santos Escobar in a three-way WWE Championship qualifier match.
