Abu Dhabi [UAE]Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Expo (ADIHEX) 2024, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative for Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Falconers Club, will combine the UAE’s cultural traditions and heritage with innovative and forward-thinking features to generate new business opportunities and engage Emiratis of all ages, showcasing their adventure and outdoor lifestyle.
Organised for the first time by Capital Events, the events management division of the ADNEC Group, in partnership with Emirates Falconers Club, the world-leading exhibition has been going for more than 20 years and will run from 31 August to 8 September 2024 at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi.
Visitors to ADIHEX can enjoy a rich mix of cultural exhibits, traditional performances and live historical displays that celebrate the UAE’s heritage, satisfying hunting and equestrian enthusiasts as well as those interested in the region’s cultural heritage.
A key attraction will be the Falcon Auction, highlighting the UAE’s leadership in captive breeding of falcons, which play a vital role in wildlife conservation. The auction will offer a wide variety of falcons to appeal to enthusiasts from all backgrounds, from beginners to experienced falconers.
For the first time, ADIHEX will have special viewing areas on-site at the event and will allow online bidding for the luxury Hayabusa.
Another highlight of the arena is the “Davian Equestrian Club Vaulting” show, showcasing a unique equestrian discipline: vaulting.
The Arabian Horse Society will be hosting “Tshouleeb” and “Equine Beauty Competition” at ADIHEX. Tshouleeb will feature traditional riders riding purebred Arabian horses and performing traditional Arabian Bedouin songs. The Equine Beauty Competition will showcase the grace and unique characteristics of Arabian horses, with special emphasis on the role of the horse trainer in the show ring.
The Liberty Horse Show, taking place daily from Monday, September 2 through Sunday, September 8, is a fascinating equestrian event where horses are showcased without any restraints such as tack, saddles, reins or halters. This format allows the horses to move freely and naturally, demonstrating their innate grace, athleticism and mental strength. The Liberty Show is popular not only for showcasing the bond between horse and trainer, but also for highlighting the horse’s natural beauty and ability.
Another highlight is the “Historical Battles and Archery on Horseback” exhibit, where the Mamluk Archers and Kabel Stables will showcase traditional Ottoman battle scenes and archery techniques.
This year’s ADIHEX will present its most diverse and rich selection of shows and performances ever, including dynamic live performances, exciting competitions and fascinating traditional and sporting displays. In addition to the incredible shows and demonstrations on offer, visitors will also have a variety of options to interact with industry experts, browse and purchase hunting supplies and equipment, and connect with leading manufacturers and suppliers in the industry.
