From searching for Christmas gifts to totally weird-themed Google searches, there are plenty of reasons why you might want to prevent anyone from accessing your history.
Those at the heart of a crime may think it’s best to keep the investigation secret, since questions may arise if someone stumbles upon the somber enquiries.
But even if you clear your browser history, this little-known feature might not be helping you do it properly.
Why can’t I delete my history from my Google Account?
You may not know this, but Google stores data from your Google and YouTube search history even if you delete it from your browser.
However, you can fix this issue by making a few tweaks to your configuration.
So if you’re feeling a bit frivolous and, say, you spend an hour browsing your favorite categories on a special website, your data will still be there when you clear your search.

How to Delete YouTube Search History from Your Phone
There are multiple ways to delete your search history on YouTube, and you can do it right now.
The first option is to delete searches one by one within the app by clicking on the search bar and long pressing on the suggested result with the history icon next to it.
Then click “Delete” and it will be deleted permanently.
And to really prevent it from seeing the light of day, you can make changes to the app itself.
You can do this by going to Settings.

How to Clear Google Search History on Android
Another thing to be careful about is clearing your Google search history in the app, so you don’t have to worry about your new partner seeing the search you typed in last week for “how to forget my loved one.”

Sorry, iPhone users, this part doesn’t apply to you, so you’ll have to fend for yourself in Safari (more on that later).
First, you need to open the Google app on your phone, tap on your profile picture, and go to Search History.
Then tap Delete > Delete All.
If you need to delete a search from a specific time, go to Delete > Delete Custom Range.
To take further action, go to the Search History menu > Controls > Web & App Activity Cards > Auto-Delete (ON).
Now you can search for anything you want.
