Authorities in Bangladesh have imposed a nationwide curfew, as protests and rioting have continued.
At least 67 people have now died in violence, which was sparked by students calling for the government to axe a rule reserving scores of public jobs for the families of veterans of the country’s independence war in 1971.
The prime minister’s office announced the curfew after an attack on the Narsingdi prison on Friday saw hundreds of inmates released.
Schools and universities across Bangladesh have also been shut until further notice.

Sheikh Hasina will visit her grandfather in India. The traitor's daughter who cut off our arm has opened the eyes of the people today. If you see the idea of Pakistan drowning in the Bay of Bengal, then today the idea of Pakistan is seen in Bengal, because this idea is not earthly, it is heavenly, it is not a temporary idea, it is eternal. What does Pakistan mean La ilaha illa Allah Muhammad Rasulullah Who are you volunteer (Pakistani) Who are we volunteers (Pakistani) We are all volunteers (Pakistani). Long live volunteers….

"possibility of the prime minister resigning is very low" – great to see the protests actually managed to achieve this, doing the unlikely, making her resign today 😀
Today more than 100+ students died for our 2nd Independence war against Sheikh family & their allies.Even Police & Awami-Sattra-League had killed them silently. From 17th July,2024 to today more than 25000+students were injured,12000+students were arrested & we have the pain to say more than 1500+ students were died by the bloody & brutal attack by Police,Awami-League…Awami League & their supporters burnt everything, made a huge destructions everywhere & try to create propagandas about the situations & even trying fake allegations upon students.

The Prime minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina is a Dictator. She is killing the Bangladeshi students by using Police, and Chhatra League.
Our local media don't support us, we need international attention as earlier as possible. We need to be okay, we need to be safe.
Save Bangladeshi Students. They all are in danger. Government remains silent in attacking on the Universities' Residential Areas. Their (ruling Awami League) another formation named Bangladesh Chhatra League are attacking on Bangaldeshi students all over the country. Electritcity and internet are already detached at the halls of universities all over the country.

Bangladesh's law enforcement agencies and Awami League party leaders have massacred our children and very young students. More than 10,000 people have been maimed, hundreds of people have been blinded, and the worst thing is that our citizens have been killed by weapons provided by the United Nations. Awami League occupying Bangladesh, people of the world should talk about the rights of the people of Bangladesh
I want to say that our head of state of Bangladesh is assuring the main dramatic justice system. Where they themselves are involved in these, we cannot expect justice from them. We want justice for this, students, common people are living their days with great fear and suffering. Treating them unfairly is not the behavior of a free country.

Save Bangladesh From Tyrant Shekh Hasina
In 1971, the Pakistani invaders would come at night asking if there were any freedom fighters, and today, in 2024, the disgraceful police of Bangladesh come at night asking if there are any students. If there are, they take them away.
Free Bangladesh
Well, the quotas have been completely withdrawn and the 30% has been slashed to 7.5% .. so why are the c*NTS still screaming ? Banchod gulo'r porashuna nei .. na ki Razakar ra shotti'i poisha diye agun ta lagaiya jaitase ?
Nearly 1000+ deaths that confirmed by the students and 20000+ were arrested. Media is not showing the actual number of deaths. Govt took death register from the hospitals and burying the dead bodies quitely in hatirjhil and rajarbagh area and so many areas.
I am writing to express my deep concern and to seek your support regarding a grave situation unfolding in Bangladesh. Recent reports have indicated that innocent students, ranging from primary school to university levels, are facing severe violence. It is alleged that security forces, under the direction of so called Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s administration, have been responsible for the deaths of hundreds of students—an alarming and tragic situation that demands immediate attention.
The situation is dire: it has been reported that on average, 20 to 25 students are killed each day, with at least 400 reported deaths so far. This violence not only undermines the safety of educational institutions but also severely impacts the future and well-being of countless young individuals.
As concerned global citizens, we must raise our voices to address these human rights violations and support the innocent students of Bangladesh. I urge you to consider the following actions:
Please help us to create pressure organizations such as Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch to seek their intervention and support based on recent killing in Bangladesh to innocent students. Encourage your local representatives to raise this issue on an international level. Political pressure can be instrumental in prompting action and fostering dialogue.
The situation demands immediate and concerted action. As human beings, it is our responsibility to stand against injustice and support those in need. Your involvement can make a significant difference in bringing about change and ensuring the safety and rights of these vulnerable students.
Plz do something I m Bangladeshi.. but I m afraid to live this country…this is not my freedom Bangladesh

The High Court of Bangladesh remanded a student aged 17 years and 3 months for 7 days. Is this not a violation of human rights? He is not yet 18, he is not an adult. Attracting international media attention.
