Last night, Broncos quarterback Bo Nix became a social media sensation after demolishing the Packers defense for the second time this week. Nix started for the Broncos and completed 8 of 9 attempts for 90 yards and one touchdown pass to wide receiver Tim Patrick. He should have had a second touchdown pass, but it was called back because he barely crossed the line of scrimmage. He controlled the offense, was accurate, avoided sacks and turnovers, and looked like a starting quarterback.
This Knicks performance created a lot of buzz among NFL insiders on Twitter, so I wanted to share some of the buzz and share my reaction to it.
I don’t see Bo Nix giving up his job, regardless of whether he’s outside the line of scrimmage or not.

Bo Nix is a joy to watch. They move the ball with ease with him. I wouldn’t be surprised if Sean Payton names him the starter.
I was in the Broncos QB meeting room on Thursday night and it was so much fun watching Bo Nix learn, and Davis Webb sums up that whole room so well.

With Bo Nix in the game, the Broncos offense moves the ball.
It seems so simple.

of #Broncos Bo Nix has yet to be announced as the starter … “As he gets more comfortable with the calls that are coming in, he’s got to feel comfortable. He’s got to feel the calm when he’s playing.”

Bo Nix looks like an exceptional player. Sean Payton is expected to make him the starter in Week 1. Payton would enjoy game planning for him, calling plays and developing his talent. https://t.co/OIZM1WVjzk

Preseason stats and all that, but Bo Nix is doing exactly what he needs to do to end this QB race in Denver. So far tonight he’s completed 8 of 9 passes against GB for 80 yards and a touchdown.

He looks like the Bo Nix we saw in Oregon.
— Jeff Schwartz (@geoffschwartz) August 19, 2024
In addition to looking good, being able to handle Sean Payton’s offense and having plenty of arm strength, Bo Nix has a real ability to use his mobility to make things happen.

thought
Bo Nix has been outstanding throughout the preseason, offseason and training camp this season and will likely be named the starting quarterback sometime this week. He’s impressive, poised and in control of the offense, just like the quarterback we saw at Oregon. Pairing him with offensive genius Sean Payton is a great match for both and I expect this type of play to continue.
With the exception of a one-play drive that ended with a Lukas Krul fumble, Nix has led the Broncos to points every time he’s been on the field. He has yet to be out, sacked or lose the ball three consecutive times, and he continues to impress the Broncos players and coaching staff.
You look at the quarterback position and you can quickly tell if a quarterback has it or not, and Knicks has quickly proven he has it. It remains to be seen how good he will be, but there is reason to be very optimistic about his future.
