In its latest advisory, the UAE Ministry of Justice (MoJ) said there is no need to apply for the travel ban to be lifted once the case is resolved as the process will be automatic.
The ministry said in a short video that the number of procedures required to lift a travel ban has been reduced from nine to zero. Previously, lifting a travel ban required submitting permission and some supporting documents, but these will no longer be necessary.

The Ministry of Justice will act immediately to lift the travel ban, reducing processing time from one business day to just a few minutes.
The ministry said the initiative was part of the UAE’s Zero Government Red Tape Programme, launched earlier this year with the aim of “enhancing the effectiveness of federal government services by removing bureaucratic obstacles”.
Judicial authorities in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai have also taken steps to automatically lift travel bans once outstanding fines are paid.
