After deleting a tweet in which he admitted to messaging minors on Twitch, Dr. Disrespect confirmed he’d be “back soon” and said he had “a lot to talk about” with his followers.
He acknowledged in a lengthy statement following accusations from two former Twitch employees that he was banned from the streaming platform in 2020 for messaging minors.
Dr. Disrespect received a lot of backlash online after making this confession, with many companies cutting ties with him, including Midnight Society, which has since distanced itself further despite the agreement between the two parties.
He recently posted a picture of himself in his famous red outfit, sitting behind a chess board with chess pieces and checkers on it, with his hands clasped together, seemingly lashing out at negative comments, before sharing another tweet to confirm he’ll be “back soon.”
“I’m on too much vacation right now, Champs, but I’ll be back soon. We’ve got lots to talk about,” Dr. Disrespect said.
This came after Dr. Disrespect released a lengthy, deleted statement on X/Twitter in which he admitted to sending inappropriate messages to minors.
The statement read, “Did you have Twitch Whisper messages with minors in 2017? The answer is yes.”
“If you are asking if there was any real intent behind these messages, the answer is a firm no. These were casual, mutual conversations that at times veered into inappropriate territory, but nothing more.”
“Nothing illegal was done, no photos were shared, no crime was committed and I have never even met the person.”
He also updated the header of his page, which previously featured a dark, gloomy photo of a fishing float with a forlorn, angry-looking face in rough waters.
The new header expands on that, showing the water floating beneath the float’s surface.
There they found a crumpled piece of paper with the opening lines of Dr. Disrespect’s now-deleted tweets written on it.
Dr Disrespect previously worked for Sledgehammer Games, but built a unique persona by streaming games like Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and PUBG: Battlegrounds.
Though he garnered a huge following and had over 4 million followers on Twitch, he was banned from the platform in June 2020. The reason was never confirmed until Dr. Disrespect released a statement.
Since then, he has lost over 20,000 followers on his X/Twitter account.
