TAC Security, a leading global cybersecurity company specializing in vulnerability management, plans to open its first Middle East office in Dubai, which will serve as a hub for future expansion in the region.
“Dubai is steadily becoming a new global hub. The government here is focusing on technology and innovation as pillars of future growth, and cybersecurity is at the heart of technology, so we are looking to become a leader in the industry and the UAE is the perfect place to be,” said Trishneet Arora, founder and CEO of TAC Security.
TAC Security is a publicly traded cybersecurity company that made waves with its oversubscribed $1 billion IPO. It protects Fortune 500 companies, large enterprises, and government agencies worldwide. TAC Security manages 5 million vulnerabilities through its artificial intelligence (AI)-based vulnerability management platform ESOF (Unifying Enterprise Security in One Framework). It holds certifications such as CREST, PCI ASV, and ISO 27001, and partners with tech giants such as Google, Microsoft, and Meta for CASA (Cloud Application Security Assessment). The company recently expanded its footprint to 55 countries and added 590 customers in Q1 FY2023 and 32 customers in Q4 FY2024.
TAC Security specializes in risk-based vulnerability management. “Today, the risk to organizations is huge, but you can’t quantify it. So we want to help you understand the organization and its management. We want to understand the cyber risk on a scale of zero to 10 and then take appropriate action through AI. That’s really what we want to do – to help organizations understand cyber risk through technology in a language they can understand,” Arora said.
Arora stressed that quantifying risk factors is crucial for organizations to understand the impact of cyber attacks on their business. This especially gains importance during the recent global power outage that paralyzed many companies and organizations across the world. “There is a risk involved as companies and sources adopt technology without realizing it. So if you take inappropriate actions, cybersecurity will have an impact. So we tell you what actions to take and what actions not to take. So when we’re talking about the cybersecurity landscape, the biggest threat in the cyber world today is organizations not understanding the risk and not being able to quantify the risk in a proper way. So that’s what we’re trying to do today.”
Though TAC is relatively new to the cybersecurity space, Arora doesn’t see competition as a challenge. “We focus on innovation and technology and how we can provide value to our customers, not on the competition. We try to understand the competition and don’t ignore it, but our focus is customer success and customer service. It’s not how I do things, but it’s how the industry does things. If we focus on the customer, the customer will refocus on us,” Arora said.
TAC plans to use its UAE operations as a base for regional expansion: “We see the UAE as a hub for the whole Middle East. We plan to expand into Saudi Arabia and Africa,” Arora said.
