Brickhouse Entertainment Managing Partners Scott Brickell, Ron Smith and Chase Swayze have teamed up with Vere Music Founder and President Rusty Harmon, who previously managed Hootie and the Blowfish, to form a new artist development, marketing and label joint venture called Hit N Run Music.
Nashville-based Hit and Run Music will service independent artists across all genres. All projects will be distributed through ADA, a Warner Music Group subsidiary. The venture’s flagship artist, Micah Christopher, will release his debut single, “That’s Who Jesus Is,” in June and has a new EP due to be released in February.
“Today’s music industry is constantly evolving,” says Harmon. “Artists have more freedom and access than ever before. But with that freedom comes marketing, distribution and strategy execution. Hit and Run Music and Vere have come together to provide the necessary ingredients for a successful career. We’re excited about this new model and the team we’ve put together.”
“Hit and Run Music is a great way for artists to combine marketing strategies and distribution in a non-traditional way,” Swayze added. “Our structure allows artists to focus on writing and recording great music while our team executes marketing strategies and grows their careers. The label landscape is changing and I’m excited about this new venture.”
