President Obama’s YouTube interview on Friday addressed several important political and economic concerns, but one debate was finally settled: Obama established the proper shape of dog pants.
YouTube sensation Adande Thorne, aka sWooZie, ended his interview with the president by launching into a “lightning round” of pop culture questions.
This time, he pulled out an illustration of the infamous “pants for dogs” meme, which has sparked countless online debates over whether dogs wear pants on all four legs or just their back legs.
“The American public really wants to know,” Thorne says, “If you had to choose one pair of pants for your dog, would you choose option A or option B?” (Option A meaning pants on all four legs, option B meaning pants only on the back legs).
The President’s response was swift and immediate.

Whether President Obama had decided ahead of time or was simply exercising his executive decision-making skills, he pointed to option B: putting his pants on on his hind legs.
Thorne asked if this was his final answer or if he wanted to call a friend, but Obama adamantly refused.
As for the alternative option – tucking all four doglegs into your trousers – Obama said it was “a little too conservative. A little too much.”
So Americans have figured out: if dogs wear pants, they should only wear them on their hind legs. Anything else is officially un-American.
Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has yet to comment on the “dog pants” controversy.
