Jennifer Garner brings brightness wherever she goes, including awkward situations at Comic-Con.
The actress and optimist posted a series of videos to her social media accounts over the weekend that showed her getting stuck in a stalled elevator at the convention center. She captioned the posts, “Baby’s first Comic-Con: A short story.”
Garner, who reprises her role as Elektra in the upcoming hit film “Deadpool & Wolverine,” was attending a panel discussion with several co-stars at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego, California, when she became stuck in an elevator with the rest of the cast.
“I want Wolverine. I want Deadpool. I want somebody,” she said in her first video. “Thank you for being here. My first Comic-Con.”
Each video was accompanied by a timestamp showing the times they were stuck, and things got a bit heated – literally.
“It’s hot,” Garner said, sweating. “I’ve got phlegm in my throat. I need to wipe it off.”
Garner, in true Garner style, kept the mood light, quoting advice she’d heard on “The Office” or “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” about sitting down if you’re stuck in an elevator. Forty minutes later, she led the crowd in a rendition of “99 Bottles of Beer.”
An hour and 12 minutes after calling 911, Garner’s excitement was visibly heightened when paramedics finally opened the elevator doors and people in the elevator began cheering.
She was in attendance at the panel, and if there was any Marvel character whose superpower was positivity, it would definitely be Garner.
