The Olympic Committee appears to have removed video from the Paris opening ceremony after a backlash from conservative groups.
Several people have reported that the highlight video of the Opening Ceremony has disappeared from the official Olympic YouTube page. I tried to click on the link but got a message saying the video was not found. FYI, I tried searching the official Olympic page but could not find the video of the Opening Ceremony on the channel.
Maybe I’m missing something, correct me if I am, but there seems to be coverage of the Olympics both before and after the ceremonies. There’s not even a tribute to Celine Dion on the page. Elon Musk joked that “they filed their own DMCA.”
The opening ceremony of the Olympics drew backlash from conservative groups and audience members, particularly a fashion show featuring drag queen dancers, and singer Philippe Catherine, who appeared at the ceremony in a revealing outfit and posed like a Thanksgiving turkey.
Viewers criticize the Olympics
The singer was dressed in blue make-up, reminiscent of the Greek god of wine, but some viewers found his lack of clothing inappropriate.

“This opening ceremony was just shocking. So frantic, zero atmosphere, boats all messed up, no focus, Gaga singing awful….just awful. This is the Olympics!! Like a local festival,” posted X.
Another person questioned the event, writing: “Embarrassing to represent France. Will go down as the worst opening ceremony ever,” while another commented: “Sorry but this is the worst Olympic opening ceremony in memory. Having the athletes enter on boats is a funny idea but it looks awful and you can’t hear the crowd cheering. Sorry but I can’t do it.”
Another agreed about the boat: “No offense to France, but the boat idea was terrible.”
