Ice Spice releases debut album Y2K! There was a lot of uproar today (July 26th), with Cardi B especially furious after a gunshot was fired that appeared to be aimed at her.
On the album’s track “BB Belt,” Ice Spice raps, “I think she’s cute but she got a different look/You’re lagging behind, bitch, pick up the pace/It was fun ’til I took her place/Her man calling, I’m like, ‘Who the hell is that?'”
Shortly after the song went viral, the fellow Bronx star took to her X account to attack a group of unnamed female rappers: “These bitches are totally out of their minds… but they’re all criticizing my album… at all you bitches!!!” she wrote.
She added, “You bitches can’t see me for numbers or stats. It took you too long to catch up. You can’t see me for money, you can’t see me for real estate or fashion, you can’t see me for real. I’m not competing with you bitches!! And I’ll show you.”

These bitches can’t see me in numbers or status. You took too long to catch up. You can’t see me in money, you can’t see me in real estate or fashion, you can’t see me in person…I’m not in competition with you bitches!! And I’ll show you

Ice Spice has not revealed whether the “BB Belt” line in question is about Cardi B.
Listen below.
The two previously worked together on a remix of Ice’s hit single “Munch (Feelin U),” but there seemed to be some rift between them ever since Cardi criticized Ice Spice on Hot 97’s Summer Jam last year.
Cardi took to the stage to perform her collaboration with Glorilla, “Tomorrow 2,” which she topped off with a rendition of Annie’s theme song, “Tomorrow.”
She also projected a clip of Orphan Annie twerking onto a giant screen for the entire stadium to see.
Cardi B sang “Annie” while rapping about Tomorrow 2 and included an Ice Spice lookalike on the setlist in the same outfit she wore on her Instagram story before transitioning into Tomorrow 2… shading the girl who’s only ever shown you love. pic.twitter.com/gG6QwxQkOU

While this may have simply been a play on the famous movie’s theme song of the same name, many fans pointed out the similarities between the lead character and the red-headed rapper.
However, Cardi denied the rumors that she was backstabbing, saying on X, “To all the motherfuckers trying to do shit on Twitter, please stop with the bullshit.”
She continued, “I was like… That’s not me, come on. First of all, people wanted me to be messy with everything. People wanted me to be messy with the songs and people were like, I’m like… No, come on. Stop with the bullshit. Bring me a mop. You guys are too messy and you’re all annoying.”
