Wall Street is looking for gains this morning after the Nasdaq (^IXIC) on Wednesday experienced its worst trading day since 2022. The Nasdaq fell 3.6%, dragged down by disappointing results from both Tesla (TSLA) and Alphabet (GOOG, GOOGL).
This morning, several major airlines are reporting earnings, including Southwest Airlines (LUV), American Airlines (AAL), and Royal Caribbean Cruises (RCL). Southwest reported a 46% drop in profits compared to last year and announced major changes to its operating procedures, phasing out its famous open-seating plan.
