Clark Planetarium is open every day of the year, and its three floors of interactive exhibits are always free to enjoy.
The last Friday of each month is “Tinker Day,” and Community Programs Coordinator Misty Morris says tinkering is a playful exploration that can support children’s productive science learning development.
“This means getting young people interested in science, feeling they can do science, and wanting to do science,” Misty says.
She demonstrated some of the activities available on “Tinker Day” and showed us how to draw circuits on paper using conductive ink.
Visit the website to find out what other fun activities will be happening throughout the month.
There are also shows in the IMAX and Dome Theatres, with the latest shows being “Laser Queen,” which features laser-choreographed sets to the band’s hits, and “Dark Universe,” which explores the question of what the universe is, also narrated by Neil deGrasse Tyson and scheduled to open in August 2024.
Movie tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for children, plus tax, or you can get a membership for $35, which gives you unlimited movies at either theater all year round.
