The Los Angeles Dodgers continue to be rumored to be looking to strengthen their starting rotation ahead of next week’s MLB trade deadline.
That’s to be expected given the plethora of injuries the Dodgers have had in that department, but with Clayton Kershaw and Tyler Glasnow both returning from the disabled list, Los Angeles may shift its focus to some extent.
The Dodgers certainly have needs in the outfield, and despite entering today’s MLB game with a 60-41 record and first in the National League West, they may need some reinforcement there.
Andy Paige is batting .252 with eight home runs and 28 RBIs, while veteran Jason Heyward is batting just .203 with a .710 OPS.
Perhaps the Dodgers will pursue a package deal to acquire both an outfielder and a starting pitcher. They are clearly a World Series contender and in win-now mode.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are interested in Tampa Bay Rays All-Star Randy Arozarena ahead of the MLB trade deadline.
MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand reported Tuesday that the Dodgers are looking to make a major addition to their outfield, and he also noted that Los Angeles has interest in the former Tampa Bay Rays All-Star.
It remains to be seen whether Arozarena’s form this season warrants being considered an upgrade: He’s batting just .211 with a .708 OPS.
The 29-year-old Cuban has hit 20 or more home runs in three straight seasons, and that’s the kind of power that’s been lacking in Los Angeles’ outfield this season.
As previously reported, the Dodgers are in talks with the Chicago White Sox over the acquisition of All-Star outfielder Luis Robert Jr., and it’s clear they intend to make a move in the next week or so.
As for a possible broader trade with Tampa Bay, starting pitcher Zach Eflin has been mentioned in MLB trade rumors recently.
