An American heiress who murdered her wealthy mother while on holiday in Bali in 2014 has confessed to the heinous crime.
“I do not regret killing my mother. No matter how evil it sounds, that is my reality,” she said in a shocking YouTube video posted on Feb. 2.
Heather Mack, 21, said she beat her mother to death and stuffed her body into a suitcase.
“When I was 10 years old, my mother killed my father in a hotel in Athens, Greece,” she claimed. “I knew in my heart, in my mind, in my soul, in my blood, in the oxygen coursing through my body that I wanted to kill her.”

Her shocking confession has raised questions about whether she is making up a story to justify her crimes.
Family friend Elliot Jacobson told Inside Edition that the young woman’s claims are nonsense.
“This is the kind of statement that doesn’t even merit a response and is so absurd,” he said.

Jacobson showed Inside Edition the death certificate of Heather’s father, James Mack, which listed the cause of death as pulmonary embolism, a blood clot in the lungs.
He believes she is lying about his father’s death because “it was never easy to understand Heather.”
He added: “I think she has lost her mind. It also looks like she is on some kind of drug in the video – heroin or cocaine.”

In her video confession, Heather also claims that she tricked her boyfriend, Tommy Shafer, into joining her in killing her mother. He is currently serving an 18-year prison sentence.
“This was my fight, my mother’s fight, my father’s fight and I regret putting an innocent person in this position,” she said.
Heather was pregnant at the time of the murders and gave birth to a daughter, Stella, whom she raised in prison.
Heather later told authorities she was forced to film the video.
