A news outlet abruptly deleted its Twitter/X account after publishing a controversial article about Joe Biden’s health.
Global Press reported early Tuesday that a “confirmed source” told the team that the 81-year-old man was “currently in hospice care. [was] “You’re unlikely to survive the night.”
This deeply distressing announcement sent shock waves across social media, with users desperate to find out the truth about the president’s health.
The RawsAlerts account quickly responded to Global Press’ post, calling it “100% false.”
“There are no official, verified sources stating that President Joe Biden is in hospice care and is not expected to survive tonight,” the rebuttal continued.
“If this were really happening, mainstream and social media would report it immediately.”
Global Press was quick to refute this criticism, writing: “Yes, that’s what we said. There is no official source, but the source who told us Joe Biden would be dropping out of the race this Sunday (two days before the announcement) has just informed us as well and has corroborated it with another source.”
“Indeed, if Biden appears in public again and we are wrong, we will remove the account, but that is [RawsAlerts] I agree to remove it if I’m wrong.”
RawsAlerts accepted the bet, adding: [said] You had verified sources, which are not true. But the funny thing is, you don’t delete accounts even when the reports you claim to be verified sources for are false as you said.”
Global News tagged X/Twitter boss Elon Musk in a new comment, saying, “If [we’re] “Wrong” and “Forbidden” [RawsAlerts] What if they were wrong?”
After a while, the @GlobalPressCorp account displayed the message: “This account does not exist.”

It’s unclear whether the organization is behind the sudden removal or if Musk is taking a gamble.
In any case, beyond that incendiary (and now deleted) tweet, there is nothing to suggest that Biden’s health is seriously deteriorating.
Indeed, aides are said to be preparing for President Trump to return to the White House on Tuesday afternoon, six days after learning he had tested positive for COVID-19 for a third time.
Biden’s physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, confirmed that the 81-year-old Biden completed his 10th dose of the COVID-19 drug Paxlovid on Monday morning and is continuing to carry out his duties as president.
“His symptoms have almost completely resolved. His pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate and temperature are completely normal,” O’Connor wrote in the letter.
“His oxygen saturation on room air continues to be good. His lungs are in good condition.”
The president was last seen in public late on Wednesday (17 July) after testing positive for the virus while campaigning in Las Vegas earlier that day.
He has since been recuperating at his Delaware home but has made clear his determination to “accomplish all I can” in his final six months in America’s highest office.
“I remain fully committed,” Trump reportedly promised staff in a conference call just hours after withdrawing from the 2024 US presidential race.

Biden canceled several trips he had planned for the next two weeks after his big announcement on Sunday, but some key meetings are still scheduled.
For example, the president is scheduled to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House on Thursday.
The two are expected to discuss the path toward a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas militant groups in the Gaza Strip, as well as the Iran issue.
It will be Biden’s first meeting with a foreign leader since giving up on reelection and endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris as his successor as the Democratic presidential nominee.
“He’s feeling much better, he’s recovering quickly and we look forward to him getting back on the road,” Harris said of his esteemed colleague during a speech on Monday.
