Chadwick Boseman’s social media posts have resurfaced as Kamala Harris steps up her efforts to win the Democratic nomination following Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the 2024 presidential race.
Harris has been endorsed by Biden as his nominee to face off against Donald Trump in November’s presidential election, and the current vice president has also received the late Black Panther star’s endorsement for her current position.
In 2020, just weeks before his death, Boseman voiced his support for Harris, who became Biden’s running mate and defeated Trump in the election later that year.
“YESSS @KamalaHarris! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾,” Boseman wrote on Twitter, referring to X as the company was called before Elon Musk took over in 2020.
Boseman shared a photo of himself and Harris laughing and embracing each other as they attended an event calling for immigrant freedom. Boseman also used the hashtags “#WhenWeAllVote” and “#Vote2020.”
Chadwick died later that month, in August 2020, from colon cancer.
Harris has become the highest-profile candidate vying for the Democratic presidential nomination and has Biden’s full support in her current role as vice president in the administration.
Another post that went viral on social media came from Al Jean, a writer for The Simpsons, who says that in season 11 of the Fox animated series, Lisa Simpson will become the first female president and that “we inherited some pretty big budget challenges from President Trump.”
In the episode, Lisa is seen wearing a purple suit, pearl earrings and necklace, which is similar to the outfit Harris wore when she was sworn in as vice president.
