Swimming permitted again at all lakeside beaches
KENOSHA — Water quality conditions have improved at lakeside beaches, and swimming is once again permitted at Pennoyer, Eikelman, Southport and Simmons Island parks.
Swimming was banned this week due to poor water quality caused by high waves and heavy rainfall on Monday.
Sample testing this weekend showed water quality has returned to good condition.

“This initiative is intended to increase transparency and accessibility for residents who cannot attend meetings in person,” Juhasz said.
While meetings of the full County Board have been livestreamed for several years, committee meetings were not available to watch in this format until recently.
Live streams and archives of meeting videos will be available on the Kenosha County YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@kenoshacountywi) in playlists organized by committee.
Juhasz said a link to the video stream will also be posted at the top of the meeting agenda.
Juhasz credited the county’s information technology staff for implementing the streaming capability at no additional cost to taxpayers.
“I commend them for their insight and the progress they have made in taking important steps toward transparency in Kenosha County government,” Juhasz said.
