YouTube Music has announced a revolutionary component that is sure to make waves. This new feature allows users to search for songs in the most convenient way. Just type it into the app and it will recognize it instantly, whether you’re humming, singing or playing. This feature has been in testing for about a year.
The Sound Search feature, available via the waveform icon in the search bar, accesses the streaming giant’s database of over 100 million official songs. It then tries to implement accurate results as you type. YouTube Music is also experimenting with AI-powered conversational radio. The new feature allows users to come up with custom radio stations by verbally describing their musical choices.
We hope to offer this service to more YouTube Music users in the future.

These new features are part of a broader set of improvements YouTube Music has introduced recently: In October, it launched an experimental feature that used artificial intelligence to let users create personalized playlists, and the Samples tab, which lets you customize and stream short snippets of songs, was already launched less than a year ago.
The Sound Search feature is available to the streaming provider’s subscribers on both iOS and Android.
