The 3rd Annual Listening Room Film Festival is seeking entries for the event, which will run from December 6th to 15th.
The entertainment and music-focused festival is seeking feature films, documentaries, short films, and music videos.
Film screenings will take place from 3pm to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, December 6-7 and 13-14, and from 3pm to midnight on Sundays, December 8th and 15th. . There will be a question and answer session after the film screening.
Along with musical performances, an industry panel of experts and executives will also be part of the presentation.
The festival, both in-person and virtual, focuses on performers, music and filmmakers from the Southeast region, although submissions from other film genres will also be considered.
Local, regional, national and international films will be considered by a selection committee and must be completed between January 2021 and September 2024. Feature lengths can be up to 90 minutes, short films can be up to 30 minutes, and music videos can be up to 15. Minutes.

The festival was founded by music entrepreneur Henry Turner Jr. to give new and established filmmakers a place to show their films and perform their music in a comfortable environment. It focuses on pioneers and influential figures in the entertainment industry, as well as performers, actors, entertainers, and musicians who have appeared in films and provided music for soundtracks.
Award-winning retrospective features and short stories at the 2023 festival include the local premiere of “Séance Games: Metash,” “Santa’s Letter,” “El Ceuno,” “Tears,” and “Night of Prayer.” ” and “Good Business Sense.” ” International debuts included India’s “Do-Over” and Iranian short stories “Exchange,” “The Librarian,” and Turkey’s “Mirrorty.” Regional films included “Battleground: The Lost Community of Fazendevil.”
All events this year will be held at the Henry Turner Jr. Listening Room, 2733 North Street in Baton Rouge, and are hosted by the Henry Turner Jr. Listening Room Museum Foundation. Other previous sponsors include Visit Baton Rouge and Music Connection.
