The YouTube short will be longer soon.
Starting October 15th, creators will be able to upload short videos of up to 3 minutes. This is a significant increase from the current 60 second limit. This expansion aims to provide creators with storytelling flexibility and enable more immersive content.

Streamlined player and immersive templates: The YouTube Shorts player has been redesigned to prioritize your content and put your work in the spotlight. Additionally, new templates simplify the creation process, making it easy to jump on the latest trends and add your own personal touch. Seamless integration with YouTube: Now you can access and remix your favorite videos, music videos, and other clips directly from Shorts Camera. Increase community engagement: Our new Mobile Trends page helps you stay on top of the latest trends. Comment previews also give you a glimpse of the conversation before you jump into it. A more personalized experience: YouTube is also introducing a Show Less option. “Shorts tailored to individual tastes.” This allows you to customize your feed to prioritize long-form content and other interests.
