Egypt’s Minister of Public Enterprises Mohamed Simi met with Mariam Khalifa Al Kaabi, Ambassador of the UAE to Cairo and Permanent Representative to the Arab League, and her delegation at the ministry’s headquarters in the new administrative capital. and discussed opportunities to strengthen cooperation between the two countries. and Emirati state-owned enterprises.
Mr. Simi underlined the strong historical and fraternal ties between Egypt and the UAE and emphasized the Egyptian government’s efforts to strengthen cooperation in all fields.
The meeting focused on identifying opportunities to strengthen cooperation between companies under the Ministry’s jurisdiction and their Emirati counterparts, streamlining procedures, and exploring investment and partnership opportunities across various sectors.
Mr. Shimi outlined the investment activities of companies across the industrial, manufacturing, commercial, and service sectors under the jurisdiction of the public enterprises sector. He expressed his eagerness to attract more Emirati investments and take advantage of the promising opportunities available within these companies, praising the expansion of economic cooperation between Egypt and the UAE.
He further emphasized the ministry’s dedication to fostering partnerships with the private sector and attracting domestic and foreign investments, as well as the Egyptian government’s efforts to remove all obstacles to investors, such as state-provided incentives and facilitation measures.
Ambassador Al Kaabi affirmed the deep historical and increasingly strong ties between Egypt and the UAE and emphasized the shared bonds of brotherhood and cooperation in all fields. He highlighted Emirati companies’ interest in strengthening investments, expanding business operations in Egypt and contributing to development projects.
