It’s October and it’s time to start thinking about Halloween plans and trick-or-treating.
Trick-or-treating takes place on Halloween in most areas of Lancaster County.
This year, trick-or-treating will be held rain or shine on Thursday, Oct. 31 from 6 to 8 p.m.
In 2022, the Lancaster City Municipal Commission (LIMC) decided to make trick-or-treating an annual Halloween event in case Halloween falls on a weekend. However, this judgment is only a guideline and is not binding on law or policy.
LIMC is not a formal government agency, but more of an alliance that includes the City of Lancaster. Columbia, East Petersburg, Millersville, and Mountville boroughs. East Hempfield, East Lampeter, Lancaster, Manheim, Manor, Pequea, West Hempfield, and West Lampeter townships.
In addition to LIMC, other municipalities have set trick-or-treating schedules. If you would like to add your city to this post or notice a schedule change, please email mjmiller@lnpnews.com. This article will be updated with any changes.
