Bautista talks about key moments of the match
“That’s what performance is all about. I had to do what I had to do. I got caught in the second round. I hit it pretty well and was able to get it through the fence. He had good takedown defense. But I can’t get out of the cage. It’s not my fault. If it were me, I could just circle out of the cage, no matter what the crowd thinks. ) No matter what you think, it’s his fault. He wasn’t off the fence (when we clinch) and I’m not going to take him off the fence either – he is. That’s what Merab (Dvalishvili) did (against Aldo) and look at him now, he’s a champion.
Bautista talks about Conor McGregor’s criticism
“Conor can kiss my ass and fight whenever he’s supposed to fight (Michael) Chandler. Shut up.”
Bautista talks about what he wants next
“I was thinking about (Corey) Sandhagen, and he’s been through his losses and he’s on a seven-fight winning streak right now. … I really don’t talk trash to anyone, but when the crowd booed[at UFC 307]It just released me a little bit. If you give it to me, if you guys want to see it, I’ll give it back to you right away.”
