A Republican candidate for a U.S. Senate seat in Minnesota is under fire after a 2022 social media post in which he said “the bad guys won” in World War II has resurfaced.
“Today I realized…the bad guys won World War II,” wrote an old Xpost by Royce White, a former NBA player who is currently running against Democratic incumbent Sen. Amy Klobuchar in Minnesota. are. “There were no ‘good guys’ in that war. The ruling powers had a jump ball. If you look closely, you can see the link between liberalism and communism in the Allied forces.”
After the post was resurfaced by Heartland Signal, there was an immediate backlash. This comes as Mr. White is trailing in the polls against Ms. Klobuchar. A recent Minnesota Star Tribune/MPR News/KARE poll shows Klobuchar with an 11-point lead over White.
Mr. White responded to a resurfaced tweet about X, blaming the “reconstruction of the global economy” after World War II. “It’s embarrassing to see how many of you liberals are in favor of war and in favor of crony capitalism,” he said.

“I said what I said. I said the bad guys won World War II, and they did,” White told USA TODAY. “If people take that to mean that the Allies who defeat the Axis powers are going to be the bad guys, that’s just nonsense.”
When asked for an explanation, White said, “Neither the Allies nor the Axis powers won or lost the war,” and added, “This is a group of people who benefited from all the systems that were created one after another after World War II.” existed,” he said.
He said the people he was referring to were “globalists” and the “post-World War II democratic order.”
Who is Lois White?
White, a Minnesota native, is trying his hand at a career in politics again. He failed to advance to the 2022 Republican primary for Minnesota’s 5th District House of Representatives seat.
This is not the first controversy White has been involved in, the USA TODAY Network’s St. Cloud Times reported. He has also come under fire for allegedly using campaign funds at strip clubs, has admitted to being transphobic and told voters in the state that he is more to the right than former President Donald Trump.
White is a former professional basketball player who played in three NBA games for the Sacramento Kings.
After attending Iowa State University, White was selected by the Houston Rockets with the 16th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft.
He then played in the Big 3 leagues after being selected No. 1 overall.
