The Novato High School football team’s defense was very good Friday night. This unit not only recorded a shutout, but also contributed one of the touchdowns in a 22-0 win over Healdsburg.
In the second quarter, CJ Castro returned a fumble 60 yards for a touchdown, giving Novato a 16-0 lead. Special teams accounted for most of the scoring up to that point, with Oliver Garcia kicking a field goal for a 3-0 lead and Dominic Scafani returning a punt 45 yards for a touchdown for a 10-0 lead. .
