CAIRO: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi today hosted graduates of Egyptian military academies and universities as part of Sheikh Mohammed’s working visit to Egypt. Attended the ceremony.
Upon arriving at the Egyptian Military Academy, the UAE President and President Al-Sisi were received by Lieutenant General Abdel Majeed Saqr, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production. Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces. Several commanders of Egyptian military branches also participated, along with Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem, head of the Egyptian Military Academy.
The UAE President and President Al-Sisi were welcomed by a guard of honor and the playing of both countries’ national anthems. The two leaders took part in a flag-raising ceremony during which helicopters flew overhead carrying the UAE and Egyptian flags, as well as the flags of various branches of the Egyptian armed forces.
Sheikh Mohammed signed the VIP guestbook and expressed his pleasure to be able to join President Al-Sisi at the ceremony and wished Egypt and its people continued development.
The ceremony was attended by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Court of Special Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahanun Al Nahyan, Adviser to the President on Special Affairs, and a number of Members of the delegation also attended.
