Previously not available, you can now edit posts in threads. According to TechCrunch, Threads has introduced a new “edit button.” This button allows you to edit posts within the thread.
Previous X (formerly Twitter) users have been asking for an “edit” option, and after a long delay, the feature is finally here. However, this feature was only available to paid users. We are currently also introducing an “edit” option to Threads.
Please edit the thread!
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced on October 2nd that the company is introducing an “edit” button to Threads, Instagram’s Twitter-like app. This new feature allows you to edit your posts as many times as you like. Previously, if you wanted to fix a typo, you had to delete and repost your post, but Zuckerberg said on his official blog that you can now edit your post. But there’s a catch. You only have 15 minutes to edit your post. Well, it’s much shorter than the paid version of X. However, you can make changes to your post using the Edit button.

Note that unlike X, Threads users do not have to pay to use this feature. Free for all users. So how do you use this new feature? Here’s how.
As soon as a post is published, you have 15 minutes to edit it. You can tweak and change anything you want within those precious 15 minutes. An expanded Edit window will appear for you to make changes to your post. You can make changes in this Edit window. Your post will be locked after 15 minutes. It cannot be changed anymore.
Other updates
In addition to the Edit button, Threads also includes several new features. This includes expanding our collaboration with fediverse. In particular, fediverse is a decentralized social web that links platforms such as Pixelfield and Mastodon. Connect your thread account to fediverse to see who likes your posts. You can also see who is following you on threads from other fediverse servers. To view your account details, simply click on ‘Follower List’. Click on “Follower List” and you will see the options for “Fediverse Followers” and “Fediverse Likes”. To view your followers, click on the Fediverse Followers option. Similarly, to see who has liked your post, click on the ‘fediverse likes’ option.
This update could be part of Threads’ plans to expand interconnectivity between Threads and fediverse. Additionally, Zuckerberg announced that Threads is launching “Voice Threads.” As the name suggests, it allows users to add audio posts to social networks.
