Jonathan Majors’ bodybuilding film Magazine Dreams has a release date after Disney removed the title from the film’s title amid Majors’ legal troubles.
Briarcliff Entertainment CEO Tom Ortenberg told CNN on Wednesday that the company has acquired domestic distribution rights to the film, with a theatrical release scheduled for early 2025.
Majors has previously appeared in Creed III, along with Disney’s Marvel film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumia and the Disney Plus series Loki, and played an amateur bodybuilder in Magazine, also starring Haley Bennett. is playing.

Magazine Dreams was originally acquired by Searchlight after receiving critical acclaim at last year’s Sundance Film Festival. It was scheduled for release in December, but was pulled from Disney’s release calendar just before Major’s trial began.
A New York jury found Majors guilty in December of assaulting and harassing his ex-girlfriend during a domestic dispute. He was convicted of one count of third-degree reckless assault and one count of non-criminal harassment as a violation.
Majors had previously pleaded not guilty to all charges, but was acquitted of another charge of assault and one charge of aggravated harassment. He was spared a jail term, but sentenced to a 52-week mandatory in-person domestic violence prevention program.
