ISLAMABAD (Duniya News) – Pakistan on Monday strongly condemned the attack on the residence of the United Arab Emirates ambassador in Khartoum, Sudan.
“Such attacks violate international law and the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, which provides for respect for diplomatic establishments and personnel,” the Foreign Ministry said in a press release.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) said early Monday that its diplomatic missions abroad had been attacked by Sudanese military jets, condemning what it called a “heinous attack.” Khartoum’s government, which is in the midst of a new effort to retake the capital, had previously accused the UAE of supporting the rival militia Rapid Support Forces (RSF), which has been embroiled in a war for more than a year.
