There could be a preview of the AFC Championship Game on Sunday night.
Week 4’s “Sunday Night Football” game pits the Buffalo Bills against the Baltimore Ravens. Both teams are off to interesting starts to the 2024 season.
Josh Allen looks to be as good as any Josh Allen we’ve seen in the NFL so far. The Bills passer leads the MVP race this season with a 75% completion rate, seven passing touchdowns and a 133.7 pass rating.
The Ravens have yet to have that much success offensively. Lamar Jackson has three touchdown passes in the first three games, combined with a lone rushing touchdown. The Ravens are 1-2 on the season, getting away with Dallas with a win in Week 3. This could be a turnaround from their 0-2 start.
Week 4 features a battle of superstar QBs. USA TODAY Sports will provide live updates, highlights and more from the following Week 4 “Sunday Night Football” games:

Why did Lamar Jackson fall in the draft?
There was one notable statistic that stood out as a potential problem for Jackson. He completed just 59.1 percent of his passes in his final college season and just 57 percent of his passes his entire college career. It’s rare for a quarterback’s accuracy and efficiency to improve significantly at the NFL level, so Jackson’s “propensity for missing simple throws,” as NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein put it, may be due to some Talent evaluators were concerned.
That’s why a select few, like former Indianapolis Colts general manager and ESPN personality Bill Polian, have argued that Jackson should move to receiver at the NFL level.
Although few agreed with Polian, Jackson revealed on one of the Ravens’ podcasts that the Los Angeles Chargers asked him to train as a receiver at the 2018 NFL Combine.
How Josh Allen’s new approach is working for the Bills
The revamp of the Bills’ receiver corps, without the free agent departures of Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis, highlighted Josh Allen’s growth in a diversified offense. Indeed, third-year pro Khalil Shakir, a field-expanding Blazer, continues to step up. Shaquille has been targeted 14 times and has recorded 14 catches. Still, balance was key for Allen.
“I think he’s spreading the ball out a lot more,” Ravens defensive coordinator Zach Orr told reporters this week. “You never really know where the ball is going to go. All of his receivers, including the running backs and tight ends, could get the ball at any time and in any situation.”
How is Josh Allen doing?

It’s worth monitoring the weather conditions during the Bills vs. Ravens game on Sunday Night Football. According to Weather.com, the temperature at the start of the game was 68 degrees, humidity was 90 percent, and rain was “likely” to start around 9:45 p.m. ET.
With winds blowing up to 8 mph during games, rain can make conditions difficult for kickers. It shouldn’t be too difficult for Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson to pitch early in the game, but it could become more difficult later in the night when rain causes the ball to slip.
