TUC president Matt Wrack has told Sky News there is “huge optimism” about the Labour government.
He told Trevor Phillips there was “no reason anyone has given us to doubt” that Labour’s commitment to workers’ rights will be adhered to.
Mr Wrack also said he was concerned about Labour’s move to end fuel payments to pensioners.

It's far from spritely. The awfully-misguided Labour voters now realise what the rest of us know. Labour is never, ever the answer. Reform UK remains the only hope.
This guys salary is 160k representing the working man
They have optimism because labour will bend over backwards for the unions whilst also destroying the lives of everyone else. Absolute disgrace to what this country stands for
Trade unions are happy, they are getting what they want.
Nice to see Sky news allowing us unwashed a comment on this. Are comments only turned off when its about immigration?
Labour have been nothing short of appalling. We are now I believe the closest we have been in my life to a rebellion.
Tuc. Takes the biscuit. The union leaders in five star hotels. Moaning about the rich tories. Every one in a union should cancel their political levy. I doubt union official think staying in five star hotels is stealing from union members if unions went so fat with money. They would be fighting this goverment
😂😂😂😂😂
Keir Starmer offering hope?. If only
Iv heard stories of a nose getting bigger when lies are told but to grow loads of extra lower teeth is a new one
😂😂😂😂
Shut this man up, Starmer has just taken the baton from Sunak and ran with it. Peas in a pod, both want the same outcome.
Unions are going to get a shock soon as thousands leave got to save for pension age heating
TUC Leadership. Communists.
Ha ha ha 😂 this TUC guy should be doing a stand-up. He said that deadpan. Brilliant.
Only in the TUC eyes, not in many others.
