Malik Nabors enjoyed another great game for the New York Giants, but left with a concussion during the team’s 20-15 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday Night Football.
Nabors was hit late in the fourth quarter while attempting to catch a fourth-down pass from Daniel Jones. He fell violently to the ground on the sideline and remained collapsed after the play.
Here’s what we know about the injury suffered by the Giants’ talented young wide receiver.

“It’s okay. Thank you for all the prayers!!!” Nabers wrote on her Instagram Story, along with a praying hands emoji.
Nabers suffered a concussion during the Giants’ penultimate drive of the game. He attempted to catch a fourth-and-six pass from Jones, but failed to fully secure the ball as he tried to tap his toe on the inbounds.
Nabers fell to the ground, landing hard on his head and right shoulder, but there was nothing to support his fall. He sat on the sideline for a while before removing his helmet and moving to a seated position.
Eventually, Nabers got up and entered the blue medical tent. He then went to the locker room and remained there throughout the contest.
Shortly after Nabers went to the locker room, the Giants announced that he had suffered a concussion and would miss the remainder of the game.
Giants coach Brian Daboll did not provide an update on Nabors in his postgame press conference because he was unable to get a wide look at the top before speaking to reporters.
“He was with the doctors right up until I got here,” Daboll said. “I’ll see him soon.”
Who is Malik Nabors’ backup on the Giants’ roster?
Jarrin Hiatt is the Giants’ No. 4 receiver and will likely be Nabors’ top backup. Hyatt was a third-round pick by Tennessee in the 2023 NFL Draft and had 23 catches for 373 yards as a rookie. He did not make a catch during his sophomore season and entered Week 4 having played just 38 offensive snaps.
If Nabors is out, Hyatt could see more playing time, but Wan’Dale Robinson will likely be the Giants’ No. 1 receiver. Robinson was targeted 14 times against the Cowboys and caught 11 passes for 71 yards.
Veteran Darius Slayton will also get more opportunities.
