Hernandez named MVP of AC Milan vs. Lecce
Theo Hernández is living the Milanist experience. As captain and leader, Derby achieved a goal and an assist against Lecce in a short period of time. The Frenchman put in his best performance after a great night at the San Siro. There were a lot of choices given the 3-0 win, but the fans who voted via the official AC Milan app did not hesitate to choose our defender for the award.
Hernández won the MVP award with 50% of the votes, beating teammates Morata and Pulisic, who also scored impressive goals in Round 6 of Serie A. Even though the season didn’t get off to the best start, he helped the team recover and respond. This is his second goal of the 2024-25 season, following the match against Venice.
Theo had several more attempts and was able to liven up the game all by himself. Morata took the lead with a brilliant header from a free kick, setting the stage for what was to come. We didn’t even have time to get things back on track until our number 19 managed to reproduce what we saw before (against Napoli and Torino last season). With Leon’s assist, he penetrated the opponent’s back line and scored the goal with a relentless shot that went past the keeper. And immediately double your lead.
In less than half the match, they quickly cornered the Puglia side. With today’s victory, Theo achieved a number of great results, rivaling Paolo Maldini. In his 75 minutes on the pitch before being rested for the Champions League, he completed 100% of his runs, completed 59 passes of which 36 went forward, won 4 challenges and scored 4 points. He successfully recovered the first inning and created three chances. Always a joy and often decisive. Vamos, Theo!
