More details have emerged about the death of singer Shifty Shellshock, who died in June at the age of 49.
The Crazy Town frontman, whose real name was Seth Binzer, died from “the effects of fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine,” according to a USA TODAY review of online records from the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
The cause of death was ruled accidental. No other medical conditions were listed that contributed to Shellshock’s death. Shellshock died on June 24th at his Los Angeles mansion.
In a statement to The Sun published days after Shellshock’s death, the singer’s family noted that Shellshock had long battled with drug addiction.
“Seth struggled with addiction all his life. He did it in a very public way, which was especially difficult,” the family said at the time. “God knows he tried very hard to defeat the devil, but unfortunately he lost the battle.
