Barcelona are beginning to consider life after Robert Lewandowski, and while the Polish striker may still be one of Europe’s most prolific scorers, he is now 36 and his days at the top level could soon be coming to an end.

Barcelona currently have no suitable successor to Lewandowski, with Vitor Roque the obvious candidate but he failed to win the trust of the club’s sporting department and was loaned out to Real Betis.
The likes of Victor Joqueles and Benjamin Cesco have been linked with a move to Barcelona in recent weeks, with Aston Villa’s John Duran being the latest to pique the club’s interest. El Nacional (via Marca) say Deco is a big fan of the 20-year-old and has already made initial contact with his agent.
Duran would not be cheap for Barcelona, but he is unlikely to cost more than Jocoles or Sesco. With this in mind, he could be a very smart signing as the club’s long-term number nine, especially if he can continue to make an impact in the Premier League.
