Amid speculation about the current state of the couple’s marriage, Aaron Taylor-Johnson took to social media to dispel claims that he and his wife, Sam Taylor-Johnson, are no longer together.
Rumours surfaced that the couple had split after 12 years of marriage after Aaron was spotted without his wedding ring.
“A little escape”
But this week, the “Bullet Train” actor shared several photos of himself with filmmaker Sam, including one in which he’s clearly wearing a ring. “A little getaway,” Aaron wrote in the photo’s caption.
When did the Taylor-Johnsons meet?
Aaron, 34, and Sam, 57, first met on the set of Nowhere Boy, the 2009 John Lennon biopic which she directed. The film, which was nominated for four BAFTA awards, saw Aaron, then 18, play the Beatle growing up.
The following year, Sam gave birth to the couple’s first child, daughter Wylda Rae, and in 2012, they celebrated the birth of their second child, daughter Romy Hero. The two married in June 2012, and celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows 10 years later.

Aaron slams criticism of ‘weird’ age gap
Speaking to Rolling Stone in March, Aaron addressed the criticism he’d received about the 23-year age gap between him and Sam, explaining that starting his career early allowed him to move through some stages of his life faster than expected.
“You have to understand […] “Most people are doing things in their 20s, I was doing things when I was 13,” he said. “Doing something for other people so quickly? I don’t understand. How fast should I be enjoying life? It seems weird to me.”
