DEI is discrimination! It's already established that companies are not legally allowed to discriminate against anyone. So now we're telling companies that they must discriminate against certain groups to promote other groups?

Merit should be the first contender for hiring practices. You would be a fool to disagree.
When you then have two people with the same merit, then diversity can be quite smart, but dont focus on skin color, focus on life experiences where diversity really comes into play. Ask people who they are, how they grew up, challenges they have faced in their personal life along the way. Its smart to want access to out of the box thinking at your work place, and you can do that by expanding the box.

the real problem start is when they hire people based on skin colour instead of skills

there isn't many black people graduate with first class honours, then all of sudden they got hired just because the queue for job interview is filled with white people with better grades
the real solution to this should start from the education level instead of putting people in place they do not belong

Doors aren't falling off of Boeing because of DEI. Everyone who works a position at Boeing has a standard that must be met to work each position. DEI has nothing to do with qualification. It has to do with demographics. If you are a Supremacist it will seem like defacto inferiority due to a non-White person being involved.
