Since 1979, six NFL teams have made the postseason after starting 0-3.
The Cincinnati Bengals are looking to become seven teams after a tough loss to the Washington Commanders. Their defense was strong in Week 2 against the Chiefs, not allowing a single stop or turnover. The Bengals can afford a few mistakes the rest of the season, but there are still opportunities. The defense just needs to find a way to apply pressure.
Take a look at Twitter’s reactions to the Bengals vs. Commanders game.
Ohr and Gesicki got consecutive first downs.
TE is heavily involved this week as well.

Finally, Eric’s PA turned to counter, and since they were running a lot, there was a good chance for a short-yardage conversion.
On this drive, the offense got just about everything they wanted.

The Bengals lost Trent Brown early in the game but were fortunate to have rookie Amarius Mims ready to step in to take his place, especially since it looks like Brown may be out for a while, if not the entire remainder of the season.
The Bengals no longer have the option to include Amarius Mims in the lineup. He’s now their right tackle.

Chase Brown took on more of the workload against the Commanders and did a phenomenal job again, pushing forward and asking for more touches on the ball.
But Chase Brown’s coming out party is going to be fun.

The Bengals made some questionable play calls in the red zone that ultimately cost them.
Go around that drive.
First and goal at the 8 yard line, sack, RT loss. Run up the middle for 5 yards, looks like a miss but is unsuccessful.#Bengals Decided by FG. 14-10 lead with 5 minutes and 25 seconds left in the 2nd quarter.

They weren’t in fourth-down territory, Burrow threw shaky passes and didn’t seem to be on the same page as Iosibas on the play.
With the Bengals starting with the ball, now would be their best opportunity to make the first stop.

But things quickly started to get out of hand as the Commanders extended their lead to two points.
The Bengals try to put a trey down and blitz Hilton on the other end to confuse him and pressure him, Daniels stays there the whole time and then easily finds a rushing lane for five.
Then they lost McLaurin and nearly fell behind by two scores.
McLaurin runs through…

Daniels was all-day, tossing a 55-yard bomb over Cam Taylor-Britt’s head to McLaurin.
Not bad for a great college offensive line. https://t.co/BhwXjDxIgX

The Bengals defense didn’t seem too serious about stopping opponents, allowing touchdown passes to offensive linemen for the second straight week.
The Bengals have allowed a touchdown to an offensive lineman in two straight games. That must be a record.

The Bengals are struggling at 0-3, and considering how awful their defense has been, I’d like to close with some comments from fans and coaching staff after the loss.
Taylor: “It’s frustrating right now… We’re frustrated with ourselves.”
— Paul Dehner Jr. (@pauldehnerjr) September 24, 2024
Zac Taylor said of Taylor Britt’s comment about a “great college offense”: “That’s not how we do things. We give credit to our team. That team hasn’t punted in two weeks.”

Joe Burrow currently leads the AFC in yards, TDs and TD/INT ratio.
It’s 0-3.
This is the protection and planning we have been waiting for.
The Defence Forces are trying to stop the Titanic from sinking with a fake WOW.

Zach: I never thought I’d be in this situation, but here I am, and I have to accept it.
