Sean “Diddy” Combs discovered and developed Usher as an artist since he was a teenager.
Usher made headlines when his entire Twitter history was suddenly deleted just days after his best friend and mentor, Sean “Diddy” Combs, was arrested on sex trafficking charges.
The R&B king drew suspicion after all of his tweets, media and replies were deleted.
The 45-year-old artist is currently in the middle of his “Past, Present, Future” tour, leaving many wondering why he deleted his profile, with some fans taking to social media to speculate.
“No one on Usher’s team said, ‘Given the circumstances, deleting 7000 posts is incredibly insane,'” one user tweeted, while another chimed in: “Usher deleted his entire Twitter history so that tells us everything we need to know.”
The only posts remaining on his account were tweets about a suspected cryptocurrency scam that suggested he had been hacked, which the OMG hitmaker later acknowledged and addressed the situation on Sunday night.
“My account got hacked and people just ran with it!” he wrote on X, adding a crying face emoji before promoting his upcoming concert at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.
Usher has not been implicated in any crime, but his relationship with Diddy, 54, has been in the spotlight. The multiple Grammy Award winner lived with the Bad Boy Records founder in New York as a teenager while studying the music business.
Additionally, both he and Ne-Yo have been listed as witnesses in a lawsuit filed by Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, Cassandra “Cathy” Ventura, against the disgraced rapper.
